Program Admissions
For appointments and information about all of Guidance/Care Center, Inc. (GCC) services, we encourage you to contact any of our 3 locations: Monday through Friday between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. After hours you will get an answering machine message instructing you on what to do in an emergency.
If you are in crisis and an adult and looking for admission to our Crisis Stabilization or Detox Unit:
Call (305) 434-7660 Option 1
This number will direct you to the crisis stabilization unit.
For any other behavioral health crisis:
Call (305) 434-7660 Option 8
YOU DO NOT NEED A REFERRAL TO CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT
Individuals are encouraged to call on their own when seeking help for themselves or a family member with an emotional crisis, a life problem or substance use issues.
GCC staff are trained to listen to your concerns and provide you with the information you need to make decisions regarding your services and which services are the most appropriate. The staff will gather basic information including health insurance coverage and schedule you an appointment to meet the service provider. If you do not have insurance and you need discounted services, you should inform the admitting staff person so that arrangements can be made with you to provide the necessary documentation. GCC serves all clients regardless of ability to pay. Discounts for essential services are offered based on family size and income. For more information see our attached client handbook.
