Volunteer and Internship Opportunities

The Guidance/Care Center (GCC) has opportunities for student internships and student hours for clinical programs such as social work, community counseling or human services at Bachelor’s Level, Master’s Level and Psychiatric ARNP preceptorships.

These include the following sites and programs:

  • The Heron – Marathon – Bachelor’s Level Social Work or Human Services
  • Inpatient Crisis Stabilization & Detox – Marathon – Bachelor’s & Master’s
  • Jail In House Program – Key West – Master’s level
  • Outpatient Psychiatric sites in Key West, Marathon and Key Largo

Individual Volunteers: These opportunities are typically for those who would like a one-time or brief community service project such as organizing our donation closets, beautifying the grounds of our facilities, leading an art activity for those that we serve, or any other type of give-back for those that we serve! If you have a particular idea in mind we’d love to hear it!

These include the following sites and programs:

  • Personal Growth Center – Marathon
  • Maintenance at Outpatient sites in Key West, Marathon or Key Largo
  • Administrative or Fundraising  Key West
